Ramco Systems inks MoU with Safran Helicopter Engines for seamless data integration

Ramco Systems Limited has announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Safran Helicopter Engines, a global leader in rotorcraft turbine manufacturing. This collaboration aims to facilitate the seamless integration of Safran's engine data into Ramco's Aviation Software.

The primary objective of this MoU is to enable engine information, post shop visits, to flow directly from Safran into the Maintenance Information System (MIS) within Ramco Aviation Software. This will significantly reduce manual data entry for helicopter operators, allowing them to concentrate more on keeping aircraft operational. The successful outcome of this collaboration is expected to lead to Safran Helicopter Engines awarding the EngineLife® Connect label to Ramco.

As part of the agreement, both companies will work on integrating engine configuration, usage metrics, and maintenance events automatically into Ramco Aviation Software, thereby enhancing data accuracy and consistency in maintenance operations. The partnership will focus on creating engine data that is ready for immediate use, establishing a trusted data exchange with reliable two-way data flow, and improving digital services for operators through enhanced data flow.

Sam Jacob, Executive Vice President & SBU Head – Aviation, Aerospace and Defense at Ramco Systems, stated that the partnership will enable richer engine maintenance data for Safran, improving reliability, while operators will receive OEM information directly into their systems, reducing manual work and boosting productivity. Ramco Aviation Software, which serves over 24,000 users managing more than 4,000 aircraft globally, is designed to support such connected and intelligent ecosystems.
