Saatvik Solar Applies for ALMM List-II for Odisha's 2.4 GW Cell Facility

Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited, a material subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, has applied for enlistment under ALMM List-II for its 2.4 GW solar cell manufacturing facility located in Ganjam, Odisha. This facility is designed to produce high-efficiency, advanced N-TOPCon G12R solar cells under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) category.

This move is a significant step in Saatvik's strategy to scale up domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and strengthen India's solar PV value chain. The facility, with an applied manufacturing capacity of 2,400 MW, will focus on cutting-edge N-TOPCon technology. Subject to approval and enlistment by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the facility will be eligible for projects requiring compliance with domestic sourcing norms.

Mr. Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy, stated that the Odisha facility's advancement towards ALMM List-II enlistment is a key milestone in building competitive solar manufacturing in India. He emphasized the company's focus on investing in technology, scale, and manufacturing capabilities to support India's renewable energy ambitions.

The Odisha facility is part of Saatvik's broader expansion, which includes increasing its focus on high-efficiency cell and module technologies. The company currently has 4.86 GW of module manufacturing capacity and is pursuing further expansion. The development is expected to create regional industrial and supplier ecosystem opportunities.
