LTM Partners with IBM & Red Hat on Lightwell for AI-Driven Open-Source Software Remediation

LTM Limited has announced a collaboration with IBM and Red Hat on a new initiative called Lightwell. This partnership aims to enhance the security of open-source software supply chains by leveraging AI-driven vulnerability remediation.

The collaboration focuses on transforming the discovery of software vulnerabilities into scalable remediation outcomes. Lightwell's approach provides validated fixes for production environments, aligning with LTM's goal to help clients build secure and resilient software supply chains. LTM plans to offer a comprehensive suite of services, including remediation strategy, dependency analysis, risk prioritization, program management, DevSecOps integration, testing, validation, and large-scale deployment support.

Chandan Pani, Chief Information Security Officer at LTM, stated that Lightwell represents a significant advancement in securing the open-source software supply chain by bringing AI-driven remediation and trusted software maintenance to enterprises. Sandip Patel from IBM India and South Asia emphasized the need for collective defense in addressing software supply chain challenges, especially as AI accelerates vulnerability discovery. Ryan King from Red Hat highlighted the importance of an expert ecosystem, like LTM, to help customers accelerate the delivery of remediations and prevent exploits or downtime.

This initiative underscores LTM's commitment, alongside IBM, to help clients accelerate open-source innovation while reducing the operational burden of managing vulnerabilities in complex open-source environments.
