Unimech Aerospace Signs Long-Term Supply Deal with FACC

Unimech Aerospace and Manufacturing Limited has entered into a long-term supply agreement with FACC Operations GmbH, a prominent Austrian aerospace Tier-1 supplier. This significant agreement, following a rigorous global sourcing process, involves the manufacture and supply of precision-engineered aerospace components and flying parts.

The collaboration marks the successful conclusion of extensive engagement, including technical evaluations, capability assessments, quality reviews, and commercial negotiations. The award underscores Unimech's advanced engineering expertise, robust manufacturing capabilities, stringent quality systems, and its ability to meet the demanding requirements of global aerospace customers.

Unimech will now proceed with a qualification and industrialisation phase over the upcoming quarters. This phase includes crucial steps such as first article approvals, process validations, and production readiness activities, preceding the commencement of serial production. This initiative aligns with Unimech's strategic goals to expand its Precision Components & Parts business, increase its involvement in long-term aerospace production programs, and solidify its standing within the global aerospace supply chain.

Anil Kumar Puttan, Chairman & Managing Director of Unimech, expressed confidence in the company's capabilities and highlighted the competitive nature of the global sourcing process that led to this award. Thomas Kraus, Executive Vice President Procurement at FACC, acknowledged Unimech's demonstrated technical capability, quality systems, and manufacturing competence, anticipating a successful long-term partnership.
